Attend Support Groups and Network with Other Parents

A child will react to a parent’s stress. Parents and other family members need safe places to talk about their fears and concerns with other people who understand. Support groups can be a valuable source of information and reassurance.

A doctor, health aide, nurse, Infant Learning provider, local hospital, local agencies, or closest Epilepsy Foundation affiliate may be able to tell parents where support groups are available.

For more detailed information about support groups and links to online support resources, see Section 3.
